Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, finally accomplished for playing movies together. Story wrapped in a romantic drama thriller, a port of their meeting place. This film is a remake of french film titled “Anthony Zimmer”, released in 2005. Created by filmmaker Jerome Salle,  Zimmer starring French superstar Sophie Marceau. Although less successful at the box office ladder, Zimmer praised by some film critics. So do not be surprised if Hollywood intends to recreate the film. By adding boost the original version of the film was less sold on the market, chosen two well-known stars such as Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

The story itself focuses on the figure of Frank Taylor (Depp), who was hit by a broken heart. To treat his heart that was wounded, Frank went to Italy for a tour. Frank met with a beautiful woman, elegant and intellect comes from the English, Elise Ward (Jolie). Frank immediately fell in love with her, but elise did have a purpose behind the encounter with the man’s frustration that comes from the U.S.. Elise has the intention to use Frank for the presence of her former lover, Alexander Pearce, who was a fugitive criminal at the same time. Not only was hunted gangster Ivan Demidov (Berkoff), Pearce is also being targeted by government agents, Acheson (Bettany). And that makes complex is Elise and Frank finally really fell in love, must face the facts about the dangers that constantly threaten their safety.

In The Tourist, the figure of Timothy Dalton and Rufus Sewell that add complexity of this film, and the mysterious factor of Alexander Pearce who became a big question mark for all parties involved, Who is he really?

By supporting the setting and atmosphere of the exotic european French and Italian, the arrangement of cameras rely on John Seale, while the music element is done by James Newton Howard who compose original illustration Gabriel Yared  in Anthony Zimmer.
